Conventions for Addition, Alteration, and Revision Cases

Project Development Type

  1. ADDITION_OR_ALTERATION - Select this when changes are made to the project after obtaining the Occupancy Certificate.
  2. REVISION - Select this when changes are made to the project before obtaining the Occupancy Certificate.
  3. NEW - Select this for entirely new projects.

Development Stage

The Development Stage must be assigned to all Proposed Works and Floors in Sections within the project.

Selecting the Development Stage for Proposed Work

  1. EXISTING - When the building mapped to the proposed work remains unchanged and has an Occupancy Certificate.
  2. PERMITTED - When the building mapped to the proposed work remains unchanged but does not have an Occupancy Certificate.
  3. ALTERED - When modifications have been made to the building mapped to the proposed work.
  4. PROPOSED - When a new building is mapped to the proposed work.

Selecting the Development Stage for Floor in Section:

  1. EXISTING - Choose this if:
    1. If no changes have been made to the floor represented by this floor in section.
    2. Occupancy Certificate is obtained for the building containing this floor.
  2. PERMITTED - Select this option when:
    1. If no changes have been made to the floor represented by this floor in section.
    2. Occupancy Certificate is not obtained for the building containing this floor.
  3. ALTERED - Choose this if following changes are being made to the floor:
    • Examples of ALTERED cases include:
      • Change in BUA (Built-Up Area).
      • Change in Floor Type (e.g., from Habitable to Non-Habitable, such as converting a residential floor into parking).
      • Change in Floor Layout (e.g., rooms, passages, accessories).
  4. PROPOSED - Choose this for newly added floors.

Plot is considered to be altered when:

  1. When Plot Gross Area or Net Area has changed.
  2. When Organized Open Space Area has changed.
  3. When Compound Wall Perimeter is changed.
Note

For REVISION projects, the marking process is the same as for ADDITION_OR_ALTERATION projects, with one key difference:

  • In REVISION projects, the Development Stage of unmodified Proposed Work or Floor in Section should be marked as PERMITTED.
  • In ADDITION_OR_ALTERATION projects, it should be marked as EXISTING.
